REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
The West Calcasieu Airport Managing Board will accept sealed proposals until 12:00 PM, Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the office of the Manager, Tim LaFleur, 7000 Southland Field Road, Sulphur, La 70665, for leasing of available land and facilities at West Calcasieu Airport. The West Calcasieu Airport Managing Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept the most favorable proposal(s), and to negotiate details, terms, and conditions with the successful offeror. Information regarding available land and facilities may be obtained from the Manager, Tim LaFleur. Proposals should include specification of the amount of acreage sought to be leased, the facilities to be constructed on the acreage at the expense of the Lessee, the value of the structures to be built, acknowledgement of which structures will belong to the owners of the West Calcasieu Airport, (West Calcasieu Port, Harbor and Terminal District and Industrial Development Board of the City of Sulphur, Louisiana, Inc.) at the end of the lease, the proposed rental payments and any proposed offsets. The term of the lease shall be an initial five year term and specify any proposed extensions and the conditions and terms and rent for any extensions. The proposal should also specify the utilization for each tract (i.e., what it will be used for) and should specify that all uses and structures will comply with applicable rules, regulations, and zoning. Proposals will be taken under advisement at the next regular meeting of the West Calcasieu Airport Managing Board on April 1, 2014, and a decision will be made at a later date.
